By day, the Grove is yours: raise crops on the farm, cook meals that steady your hands, craft gear at the bench, practice in the training yard, and take on quests from the board when you want a little more seed in your pocket.

Then you descend.

Every depth is its own world — a flooded bellworks, a bone burrow, a webbed hollow, a clockwork root, the sunken coils of the naga — each with its own enemies, its own music, its own puzzles, hidden vaults and secret caves, and a guardian that has made that place its home.

Clear a depth and the extraction Echo will still test you before it lets you leave with your haul.

Die down there and you lose what you carried. You get three chances to continue — each one a depth back up, each one a little poorer.

HOW COSTUMES WORK

1. Find the costume you want in the Hollowroot Costume Store.
2. Select BUY ON ITCH.IO to open that costume’s itch.io page.
3. Purchase the costume and download its .hrcos file.
4. Return to Hollowroot: The Last Seed.
5. Open Costume Store from the main menu.
6. Select IMPORT COSTUME.
7. Choose the .hrcos file you downloaded.
8. Your costume will unlock and can be equipped immediately.
9. The costume will also be permanently available from your Grove Closet.

Once successfully imported, you do not need to import the costume again.

Hollowroot: The Last Seed is required to use additional costumes.

INSTALL

Windows: Unzip Hollowroot_windows.zip and run Hollowroot.exe.

macOS: Unzip Hollowroot_macOS.zip and open Hollowroot.app. If necessary, right-click the app and choose Open the first time.

Linux: Unzip Hollowroot_linux.zip and run Hollowroot.x86_64.
